I recently installed your Heartbleed Monitor 0.2 Firefox add-on into Firefox 29.0.1 (on Linux). I noticed a small problem when I went to Firefox "Customize" mode: The heart icon disappeared and was replaced with some text. I forget exactly what the text said, but it was something along the lines of "Widget to toggle fxbleed". This took up way too much space in the toolbar for me to access the button to the right of it, which is the button that I wanted to move. So I moved the heartbleed text into the drop-down menu, where it disappeared. I believe it disappeared because there's no icon, and the drop-down menu won't display the associated text. I was able to move the icon back to the toolbar by watching the mouse cursor (which changed to a hand when it was over the heartbleed monitor), so no harm done, but you may still want to look into why the text appears during "Customize".

"on tab ready" fires all the time™. I suggest you do it once per domain, or even better, on demand. This way the server (whoever runs that) cannot collect a profile of every place you went to on the Web while you had that extension installed.
