Insbesondere "CHARGING_AMPS" ist aus meine Sicht extrem interessant für PV optimiertes laden.
Wie stehen die Chancen, dass Du das integrierst?

We had a problem recently with iobroker where the tesla-motors adapter kept exiting with error 156. This seems now fixed, but one consequence of this was that the adapter kept restarting and upon each restart, requested the "initial" full vehicle data - which prevented our car from going to sleep and thus wasted about 10kWh of energy over a week.
Is it possible to let tesla-motors keep a persistent record of the time of the last full vehicle data request and if this is too recent, do not even request it upon restart, but instead just request basic data which does not wake the vehicle up? This would avoid these kind of scenarios.

When the adapter is waiting to let the car sleep (25 minutes I think), and during this time somebody gets in and starts a trip, this trip is ignored and not recorded. This is understandable, but unfortunate.

Is there a way to let the adapter know whether the car is really idle, or whether it should start recording data because a trip has been started or is about to start?

After updating ioBroker to newest version Tesla Adapter does not let me get Token. Error Message "Could not retrieve token, Error from Tesla: No response"

What's up? How can I correct this? Restarting the adapter, refreshing tokens etc all did not help.

several error messages in my iobroker log. These repeat every 15 seconds. Plus they prevent the car from going to sleep as it seems (it never goes to standby and loses battery FAST).

Hey, since I installed v0.4.2, the adapter stops updating values after some time.

This is my log output, the car was in use and awake from 8:25 to 9:13 (according to TeslaLogger). Somehow the adapter doesn't update anything anymore.

I guess the adapter must check regularly in shorter intervals, if the car is awake without actually waking it up (The Tesla App homescreen widget does that as well).

In the Tesla app you can see the mileage of the vehicle data. Can this not be read out for the adapter?
This would be useful for calculations.

The unit of charger_power is in W, but the value corresponds to kW.
The other problem is that the number is shown as whole number only without decimals.

According to [1], there is a command for homelink support which is for garage door openers. Is there maybe a possibility to implement this feature in the adapter? I provide any help necessary, unfortunately my programming skills don't go beyond shell scripts. :-(

I cant connect to a Tesla account,before that it worked but after a while I want to log in again but.....

The adapter kept my car online the whole night (0:00-8:30), even in "smart" mode. Please see logs attached, it says each time it's getting all data because last wake was just a minute ago. I'm disabling the adapter for now, because its useless to me like that ATM as the car wastes A LOT of energy when awake (>5% per night).

Since i red that the automatic token refresh is broken i tried to insert it manually.
i cant safe it.
Answer: (translatet from german) "you have to get a token before you can safe"

i don't use 2fa.
i logs under tesla is "Username or Password invalid. No response"
but i never changed it. it still work on tesla website. and i retyped it in adapter settings.

I can't finde the Climate button in 1.0.1 under my vehicles "remote" section anymore.
Where is it? Is it auto-conditioning-start?
Also: Is there an up-to-date legend for all the data points?
Some of the new ones are not really self explanatory, like e.g.:
remote-seat-heater-request-0 to 5 (which seat is which number?)

Dear Adapter developer,

with js-controller 3.2 and js-controller 3.3 some additional checks were added to make sure that created objects match to the specifications and also written state values match to the object definition.

If something is not correct this is logged as 'warning' or 'info' log.

Please take the time to verify your adapter by ideally starting with a fresh instance and do some actions and verify the log. If you see a warn log there from these checks please adjust the adapter and fix the relevant cases.

Additionally we are preparing Admin 5 which will have a completely rewritten UI. Please install Admin 5, activate that new UI and verify that the configuration of you adapter works as expected also there.

If you have more than one car connrected to your account, you can't select one form the dropDown. The first one ist shown, but the DD will not open. You have to save an reopen the setup

I had the adapter set up properly and got some valid values.

But it stopped working a long time ago. When I tried to get a new token, it just says "start adapter first" but it is running, but with a red dot in the adapter list.

So I can't get a new token and the adapter can't start because maybe the token is wrong.

My tesla-motors adapter started the endless restart loop again and kept the car awake, so I thought this is a good time to upgrade and try 0.3.1. Again, I removed my authentication info and car ID from iobroker-data/objects.json as required before.
But since then, I cannot login at all any more. This is what I get when entering my credentials and clicking on "Get Token":

I can log in normally on the tesla.com website.
Does this happen because of the API v3 upgrade, or is this a different issue?

Dear Adapter developer,

with js-controller 4.0 object definitions are now also checked that min/max in only provided for number/mixed objects and that the type of the default value matches to the object type.

If something is not correct this is logged as 'warning' or 'info' log.

Please also make sure to update to the lastest @iobroker/testing dependency 2.5.4 or to accept the PR from Apollon77 for legacy testing!

Please spent some time to verify your adapter by ideally starting with a fresh instance and do some actions and verify the log. If you see a warn or info log there from these checks please adjust the adapter and fix the relevant cases.

Node.js 14 is now available for a year and Node.js 16 was release just some days ago and will become LTS by October 2021. We plan to update the ioBroker Node.js recommendation (currently 12.x) to 14.x later this year.

Please check your adapter with Node.js 14 especially, and ideally also directly with Node.js 16

Please add both versions to the adapter testing which is executed on commits.

If your adapter requires a certain minimum version of Node.js please set the 'engine' setting in package.json accordingly! Please also do this if the adapter is not able to work in certain Node.js versions, so that ioBroker can prevent users from installing te adapter if not compatible!

Today was my first time that the token got invalid. I only realized it hours later. As Object I could send me reminders before it gets invalid.

I've noticed several times that it doesn't always wake up reliably before a data point is written.

If I change e.g. the target SoC to start a charging process, the data point is reset to the old value after some time (about 5-10 seconds). A new try is successful. This always seems to happen when the vehicle has slept.

Bug or feature? ;-)

It seems like the adapter will not request a new token with the saved credentials if the current token gets invalidated from Tesla.

The adapter stopped working some days ago without a notification.

I had to go to the adapter config and click on get token, then I got an error message "please start adapter first", despite that it was already running. After a restart, I was able to get a new token, without changing the login information.

But only repo name. Not the adapter

With "smart" refresh rate, the car does not wake up unless necessary, which works great.

But once the car is woken up, recording things like speed, energy consumption or location (lat/lng) just once a minute is too little. The Tesla app seems to update the location, speed and remaining charge once a second (!) while the app is opened.

Can we make the "smart" adjustment period configurable, or at least request data more often (maybe every 5s?) - at least while the car is moving?

Your adapter is already in ioBroker latest repository available to be used by testwilling users. In order to make your adapter also available for the wide user base which uses the stable repository you should also add your adapter to the stable repository. Now that we have more accurate data when the car is active, can we also decrease the check time when idle to maybe every 5min at least, better every 3 min? Maybe only during user-specified times (eg. 6-9h & 14-22h)? I regularly miss the first few minutes of my route.

I don't know how Tesla's API endpoints react to too many requests though.

Don't know if this is technically possible, but I see a very common use case where it would be great to have the adapter temporarily in the "aggressive" refresh rate, but just for a small period of time.

When driving, the "speed" and "power" values change so rapidly that the "smart" refresh rate is just way too slow to make a useful visualization of consumption graphs over time.

By introducing 0.4.3, the refresh rate in the "aggressive" mode has been changed to one second which would enable users to visualize speed and power much more accurately. Leaving aggressive turned on permanently however would lead to massive battery drain.

Since iobroker seems not to offer a possibility to change adapter details by a script, do you see the chance of an object which can be used to temporarily change the refresh rate? Many thanks for your outstanding dedication to this project, which means a lot to me. Cheers!

I removed the adapter and added a new instance of 0.3.2.

After entering my login information I was not able to save the info, the save-buttons are greyed out.

Only after clicking on "smart" and choosing something else and then back to smart, the buttons became blue.

But clicking on "save" just gives an error message:

OK, so I click on get token, then I see this:

These two error messages block each other out. I can't save the information because I need a token first, but to get a token I need to save the information.
