I recently create a .kml file of police station jurisdictions (by tracing this map. This was useful in tracking disease data (where hospital patient are required to list their local police station). Not sure if it's useful for anything else but thought I would put it here anyway.

As BBMP has now redfined boundaries in 2022, we would need the new shp files for all wards.
Are the new shp files getting prepared or are already launched somewhere else?

The current version of the geojson files of Delhi wards are outdated. Maybe the following link helps to update the geojson file.

Hyderabad kml file has 2 entries for ward 37 (one of the 2 entries is for ward 31, mistakenly marked as 37).

Wards 3,4,13,31,113 are missing from the kml file.

I tried to use the geojson files for osm mapping but there seems to be a projection issue. Shapefiles are fine though. Should I fix them and do a PR?

Mentioning timelines might be useful for the municipal maps data. For Pune, we have 3 sets: 2007-12, 2012-17, 2017-present. They keep redrawing the boundaries every election season. Thats why the 2011 census uses pune's 2007 ward maps, and it's no fault of theirs that census data doesn't match the current wards.

This was already done on the datameet/maps repository. Discussion and rationale here datameet/maps#56 .

We have already had interest from research scholars to use the /maps data after the CC-by license change. The ward boundaries are often requested on the mailing list, and relicensing this data will allow greater reuse and contributions back to this repository.

I need the shapefile for Patna Municipal Corporation for an academic project. Would be a great help if someone can share that.
