Moonlander visualization program

DEPRECATED: use genoculars Canvas based moonlander visualisation, using a Rust program to drive the web server and the menu.

Running

First install the JavaScript front-end packages:

bower install

Run the web server, pointing it where the trace files are stored:

cargo run ../moonlander-ast

Then open in the browser:

http://localhost:8080/

The moonlander is not drawn when the moonlander is to far from the origin

Notably in early generated solutions, the moonlander seems to "dissapear". This is due to the fact that it gets out of reach of the drawing trio.

We should normalize the x coordinate when drawing.

Visiualiser does not compile on windows

The visualiser does not compile because there are unix specific calls.

They could be removed, because we do not use it anymore.

Not all candidates gets send to the visualisation

I experienced some problem with the visualisation. It seems to be the case that not all new generations get send any more.

While looking at the output it seems to be the case that a "solution" is found, but no survivor is received in the visualizer

Add bower_components to the repository

During the workshop it is preferable if participants do not have to go through hoops to start with our code. In order to achieve this, we should commit bower_components to the repository, lest the participants install bower to acquire our dependencies.
