hassos-addons's Issues

RM433 remote support

I tried to make my RM433 work but I can't seem to write an entry for it. Can you provide an example? Thanks!

How to install or add?

I'm using HACS. I tried adding this as a custom repository, but it gives an error about structure not being compliant:

I'm fairly new to HA. How should I be installing this (specifically, the rattler433 one).

Thanks!

Adding Fineoffset WH65B

Trying to add this weather station. I've added it as a "temp_hum_c" device, and that's working, but that's missing a bunch of info.

Add "state_class: measurement" support for long-term statistics

I'm really not sure if this is an issue with the rtl plugin or Mosquitto, so this might be the wrong place to ask. I currently have a temperature sensor configured (as type temp_hum_c_to_f) in this plugin. I'd like to be able to use HA's long-term statistics to create a graph. According to https://www.home-assistant.io/more-info/statistics/, the entity needs a state_class set to "measurement". Can we do that from within this addon, or does Mosquitto need to support it instead?

Can't access data from Acurite-606TX

Your add-on captures data from my sensor nicely:

but I haven't found any way to write a configuration that will cause the device creator to access the data. If I use a channel of 66 & an id of '', the device created accesses: rtl_433/Acurite-606TX/66//temperature_C. This appears to have an extra (//) level, but it's as close as I've been able to get.

This works beautifully, if I could just get the configuration right.

Adding custom protocols

I am attempting to add custom protocols over and above the default ones via the customize folder. I had to manually create the required folders in the share directory ('rattler' and 'rattler/flex'). Inside the flex folder exists a pr.conf containing additional protocols to add however this error shows in the log upon restart:
./run: line 58: [: bashio::fs.directory_exists: unary operator expected
Hope to get this working!

"Exec format error" on installation of rtl_433

I tried installing this on HA, but when I start the addon, I just see this line flooding my logs:

./run: line 63: /usr/local/bin/rtl_433: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

HA information:
Home Assistant OS 6.3
supervisor-2021.09.0
core-2021.9.5
OS version 5.10.17-v7

AcuRite 609TXC

The AcuRite 609TXC temperature and humidity sensor has an 'id' but not a 'channel' or 'uid'. If you leave out the channel from the config, the add-on will fail on startup. If you include a fake channel, the add-on will start, but data from the sensor will not be picked up. Any chance of changing the logic to allow devices to have an id only?

Disable RTL_433 and just run MQTT Auto Discovery

Hi, I have a feature request for an unconventional use-case: I am running rtl_433 on a separate machine because my HassOS VM was having some usb issues with the RTL2832U. I modified the rattler config to just subscribe to the events published by the other rtl_433 instance and it has been working well. I do it this way because, frankly, I think your device creation script works better than anyone else's. That being said, the built-in rtl_433 keeps running in the background and throwing up errors that no device is found. I don't think it's having a negative impact on HA other than filling up log entries, but I'm wondering how difficult it would be to implement a config option to disable the internal rtl_433 server. This would help people like me that prefer not to/can't run RTL on their HA machine.

Can't access data from Ecowitt-WH51 soil sensor

Hey! I have first commented my issue at #5, but thought I'd make a new issue so it's cleaner. I have an Ecowitt (Fineoffset) WH51, which has also an id, but not an uid or channel. I can provide a screenshot from MQTT Explorer with all published outputs.

If you have further questions don't hesitate to ask. I'd be grateful if you could look into it!

Devices section not optional in configuration page

The Devices section is supposed to be optional, but the configuration page requires the Devices section to be filled in, when attempting to save changes for other settings.

Attempting to save settings with an empty Devices section gives the following error:

Failed to save add-on configuration, Invalid list for option 'devices' in Rattler 433 (6172d6c4_rtl_433_hassio). Got {'mqtt_prefix': 'rtl_433', 'ha_discovery_topic': 'homeassistant', 'retain': True, 'enable_internal_rtl433': False, 'customize': {'active': False, 'folder': 'rattler'}, 'mqtt_host': 'mqtt.zzzz', 'mqtt_port': 1883, 'mqtt_user': 'mqtt', 'mqtt_pass': 'zzzzzzzz', 'devices': {}}
