From wikipedia:

The union of two intervals is an interval if and only if they have a non-empty intersection or an open end-point of one interval is a closed end-point of the other (e.g., ]1,3[ U [3,5] = ]1,5]).

Right now the library is always uniting intervals but there are intervals that can't be united. For example:

[1,3] U [7,8]
And 5 would not be in the interval.

However the library interprets this as:

[1,3] U [7,8] = [1,8] // Wrong
And with this 5 is in the interval.

As of now these methods require a string representation of an interval. They should also allow a MathInterval object.
