Impacto do CRIC

Discussao missao, visao e numeros pra termos ideia do impacto de implantacao de um projeto como o cric:

  • Missao (agora): criar tecnologias acessiveis a especialistas que dependem de imagens no processo de tomada de decisao. Um dos nossos objetivos e' melhorar a saude publica e multiplicar conhecimento atraves do envolvimento de alunos, professores e pesquisadores de universidades nacionais e internacionais.
  • Visao (futuro): CRIC se torna um time de referencia em analise de celulas cervicais usando visao computacional.

Contactar potential colaboradores em Berkeley: Julia Kramer e Betsy McCormick
What: criaram um sistema e manual para deteccao do cancer cervical usando acido acetico; usa arduino.

BEST Labber Julia Kramer (PhD student), Abhimanyu Ray (MEng student), and Karan Patel (MEng student), along with Betsy McCormick (MBA student, Haas School of Business) won First Place in the Global Health category in the Big Ideas contest for their proposal, Visualize: Saving Lives with Training for Cervical Cancer Screening. The proposal was partially developed through a capstone project in DevEng 200: Design, Evaluate and Scale Development Technologies, as part of the new designated emphasis in Development Engineering, and was part of a select group of projects awarded from over 200 submissions.
