The whole webpack and typescript layer should be thrown out, just use simple rollup plugin.

WEBGL_draw_buffers can be used for webgl1 while the straight draw_buffers() can be used for webgl2

so we can call awsm_* in user code

I think that having the std::error::Error implemented on awsm_web's errors would be very helpful, particularly for functions with return type Result<_, Box<dyn Error>>.

currently it all happens in one step, which is convenient, but prevents the ability to re-use shaders in different programs

Dunno why I have the uniforms and attributes and all caching during compilation stage as opposed to upon request

It's especially funky when using arrays since it has to cache all the variants

Currently it works, and the difference is negligible, so not necessary to fix - but it is weird and I'm wondering why I did it in the first place...

in application I wasn't getting proper failure...
