This repository contains code for a python web application for viewing the latest headlines and news articles from the world's best news sources.

This is a website for viewing top headlines and news articles from news sources around the world. A user may also click the go to site link to visit the origin news website.

• Visit https://pitch124.herokuapp.com/ to interact with the web app
• Install python, pip and flask
• Git clone https://github.com/MachokaDaisy/pitch-app.git on your terminal. Find the pitches folder and open it in your editor.
• Run chmod a+x then run ./start.sh to run the app locally

Open the webpage on your browser using the live link provided (https://pitchup124.herokuapp.com/).

• press the 'view pitches' tab to see various pitches.
• press the 'sign in' tab on the navbar to log in. If you do not have an account, click the 'sign up here' link and fill the sign up form after which, you will be redirected back to the log in form to log in. You will receive a welcome email when you sign up.
• Once logged in, click on the 'upload pitch' tab to upload your own pitch. Your pitch is automatically displayed on the view pitches page.
• click the buttons to upvote or downvote a pitch.
• On the view pitch tab, click on the categories tab at the top of the page to view pitches of different categories.
• You may also view and edit your profile on your profile page
• once you are done, you may log out.
