I propose to decide some basic modes.

From the GNU/Linux perspective, I can think of two operating modes:

1. depend [-s SIGNAL] cmd args
   invoke prctl(PR_SET_PDEATHSIG, SIGNAL), then execvp(2) to cmd args. SIGNAL defaults to SIGTERM. Since the prctl is preserved across execvp, we simply get the command cmd to be terminated as follow-up of the parent termination.

2. depend [-s SIGNAL] -p PID
   Monitor the given pid. This is basically what tail --pid does in GNU Coreutils, so we can get some ideas
