Someone mentioned this app as a potential workaround to a known issue in Android TV:

Chromecast is disabled when the device is asleep.

I've managed to sideload the app, but now I'm not sure what to do to fix the chromecast issue.

Any ideas?

It doesn't work on X96Q TV Box Android X with Allwinner H313. The power button of the remote control turns it off completely, even when the wakelock-revamp is running and the processor wakelock is on.

Hi !

It would be very useful to add compatibility with Android TV so users could install the app from the play store on set top boxes instead of sideloading.

First of all I want to say that this is not an issue, just a question. And thank you for your project which help solve my issue.

I have a TX3 mini box. There is a minor issue with it is that when it sleeps then wakes up, it disconnects from the ethernet in about 30s, if Youtube is still running while sleeping, when it wakes up, some icons will be lost.

A workaround is to use wakelock. But the downside is that the CPU seems to run all the time, not so hot, just a bit warm.

The question is: Does it shorten the lifespan of the box in the long term?

Hello. Since the latest update Android pie the app doesn't do anything now. I would really appreciate if it would work again. Thank you so much for the work.

Any idea why the app keeps disabling it's wake lock or pausing it??

Hisense U6G TV. App works fine on my Hisense U8G tv.
But for some reason, it pauses itself on U6G after some hours.
