The DS hardware only supports 8x8 tiles but we can still group tiles together to create 16x16 tile abstractions.

With the graphic that has meta tiling, it is easy to plot a 16x16 tile because you just plot tiles:

n+1
n+2
n+3

However, without meta tiling you don't know where the corresponding tiles are so you cannot do this as easily.
