ark-breeding-calculator's Issues

Issue with Piscivore feeding

The Piscivore food list only contains raw and cooked fish, when they're perfectly happy to eat kibble, at least on official, I've tested it with Baryonyx and otters.

Given the difference between fish worth 25 food that expires relatively quickly, and kibble that is 60 food and doesn't, it makes a major difference in how long, for example, a baby otter can last.

Add total food units need to mature

When dealing with a custom foods and/or situation when creature has special baby food and we want to know if it can mature without feeding (on initial food level) I want to know the amount of total food units the creature needs to be raised

Hoverover Tooltip for Trough Type: Says Tek=10x but should say Tek=100x

When I hover over the Trough Type line of the website, the popup text says:

Sets the spoil rate of the food based on container you will use, Tek=10x, Normal=4x, Clicker=1x

Trough Type tip, wrong rate

The spoil rate for a Tek trough is shown in the above image. We can see that the spoilage is approximatly 1%.

Trough Type set to Normal

When the Normal trough is selected the rate goes up to 47.7%

Trough Type set to Clicker

When the Clicker is selected the rate goes up to 83.6%

The Tek trough spoil rate is clearly better than twice the Normal trough or ten times the Clicker. Should the tool tip advertise "Tek=100x" in line with a Tek Trough acting as a powered fridge with 1/100 of the spoil rate of the player inventory?

Omnivors

Would it be possible to add for all omnivors like Megatherium, Gigantoraptor and others the option to feed them with berries? These dinos are usualy treated as carnivores but many people prefere to feed them with mejo/vegetable as its easier and faster to farm.

Memory leak / Browser hang&crash

Hi Crumplecorn,

developer from A-Calc here. I found a memory leak @

//Food to finish calc
on some creatures / every browser / every devices will freezed and crashing.

For example Wyvern, Crystal Wyvern, Allosaurus and many more!?
Put in some numbers in the Maturation field for example 8 and so on --> memory leak/freezing/crashing

Maybe same issue:

Calculation for minfoodrate looks incorrect

creature.maxfoodrate=creaturedata.basefoodrate*creaturedata.babyfoodrate*creaturedata.extrababyfoodrate*$scope.settings.consumptionspeed;
creature.minfoodrate=$scope.settings.baseminfoodrate*creaturedata.babyfoodrate*creaturedata.extrababyfoodrate*$scope.settings.consumptionspeed;
creature.foodratedecay=(creature.maxfoodrate-creature.minfoodrate)/creature.maturationtime;
creature.foodratedecay=(creature.maxfoodrate-creature.minfoodrate)/creature.maturationtime;

maxfoodrate's correct, but minfoodrate should be:

minfoodrate = creaturedata.basefoodrate * $scope.settings.consumptionspeed

I measured food values for wyverns and gigas at a range of maturations and consumption speeds. I set the baby age speed to 0 so I could hold a dino at the same age indefinitely.

Giga

basefoodrate: 0.002314,
babyfoodrate: 45,
extrababyfoodrate: 20

max = 2.0826

if min = baseminrate * baby * extrababy * consumption

min = range(2.0826, 0.1395, 0.9) => 0.33381

if min = basefoodrate * consumption (this one better fits the observation below

min =  range(2.0826, 0.002314, 0.9) => 0.2103426

Observed rates

Consumption Age Start End Diff Elapsed Rate
1 Adult 6549.7 6546.5 3.2 462.532 0.006918435
1 90% 5955.0 5876.0 79.0 375.119 0.210599517
1 0% 630.0 0.0 630.0 302.888 2.079972026

10 0% 500.0 0.0 500.0 23.949 20.877174006

We see a 3x increase in food consumption when a 99.999% Giga becomes an adult because of an additional adult food rate multiplier in giga's dcsc.

50% minimum cooked meat loss

Selecting a carnivore and trying to feed cooked meat always results in at least 50% loss. Gives the correct time, but still reports 50% loss.

Tried clearing cookies to see if maybe it was simply something on my end. Tested in both chrome (my default) and firefox.

Suggestion: Time to Abandon Baby

First off, great tool. I use the "Baby Time" and "Current Buffer" figures extensively so that I know how long I can afk after filling babies with food.

I think a great addition would be something along the lines of "Time to Abandon Baby." This would be the time until you get to the point where filling the baby with food will allow the baby to reach juvenile stage before needing more food.

Also, regarding spoilage, I think for the baby calculations it should automatically assume each raw meat stack will spoil one every 40 minutes and each cooked will every 80 minutes and that each stack is half-way through spoiling one when the dino is filled with food. This will help with high-end dinos like quetzels and gigas where food spoilage during the baby phase can destroy a third of your raw meat (especially during that last stretch right before juvenile when it can hold the most and you can afk the longest).

wyvern and rock drakes

Why wyverns and rock drakes have been left out? These would be the most useful ones, as you need time to find their food

Also, Why not adding ALL type of foods? For example, prime meat is missing, but it is often used to feed baby dinos, especially when you search for mutations and you end upp killing 99/100 of the babys :D

Something wierd with Megatheriums

used the calculator, megatherium with 1343 weight. calculator said can leave it at 4.9% with raw meat. I left it at 5.5% and it starved

please add lost island dinos

there's 3 of them
Sinomacrops
Dinopithecus
Amargasaurus
not sure what data do you need to furnish new creatures

Parasaurolophus ==> Parasaur

I noticed that the Parasaur is named Parasaurolophus even though its the prehistoric right name, in ARK its allwasy refered as Parasaur. As i was using your tool i had to first seach in google to confirm that Parasaurolophus is realy the Parasaur before i was sure that i can work with it.

Therefor, please rename the Parasaurolophus to Parasaur.

Ichthyornis never added

Crumple, my love, I made this account just to tell you you never added the Ichthyornis.

I've been breeding these fucking gulls for way longer than anyone ever should because I geniunly have nothing better to do with my life and my fwb is busy finals so it's not like I'm getting laid anyway. But I have a favorite species of seagull IRL so that shouldn't be a wonder (its the great black backed gull, thank you all for wondering, I know you were.)
I've been using the pelagornis setting. The problem is the ichthyornis have like a third of the weight so I don't know how accurate the "hand feed until" time is and I might have wasted even more of my life while I'm having an identity crisis over no longer being a teenager.

Please make my life slightly less loser like and add the ichthyornis so I can go out and find some more dick instead of feeding virtual seagulls for longer than absolutely necessary.

Jokes aside plz ad it and thank you for all you've done for the community.

Breeding Calc: Stego Timer and Food Incorrect

500W normal 1x. Currently at 2.3% mature and it says food to fill is 210 and hand feed for 2h 5 min-ish. I just fed one of them and it took 444 food. Food has only been going up by 5 per .1% on the site though. One I stopped feeding at 1.2% and 35.5 mins ago and it still has 51 berries. When you have a chance, please fix. I love this site and will be donating as it's been a Godsend as I breed and raise several dino breeds!!

Hyaenodon

Unless I keep missing it on the list, hyaenodon is not on the breeding calculator. Any chance it will be added?

Snow Owl Consumption Rate Patched

Baby snow owl consumption rate has been adjusted in patch 288.113 to consume significantly less meat. This rate has yet to be reflected within the breeding calculator or trough calculator.

Add maewing

Hello, could you add support for maewings?

Gigantoraptor Base weight

When choosing the creature Gigantoraptor, the base weight is always set to 380 by default. However, the actual base weight of a Gigantoraptor is 320.

It would be beneficial if the default value could be updated, as it might cause people to lose their low level gigantoraptors if they do not pay attention to the weight.
