Anthropic

Elixir client for the Anthropic API.

Installation

If available in Hex, the package can be installed by adding anthropic to your list of dependencies in mix.exs:

def deps do
  [
    {:anthropic, "~> 0.3"}
  ]
end

Configuration

You can configure the client via config.exs:

config :anthropic, api_key: "your-api-key",

You can also specify the configuration options directly when initially a client. This will override any global config options.

Anthropic.Client.new(api_key: "your-api-key")

Messages

client = Athropic.Client.new()

{:ok, resp} = Anthropic.Messages.create(client, %{
  messages: [%{role: "user", content: "Hello, Claude"}],
  model: "claude-3-opus-20240229",
  max_tokens: 500
})

Completions

client = Athropic.Client.new()

{:ok, data} = Anthropic.Completions.create(client, %{
  prompt: "\n\nWhy is the sky blue?\n\nAssistant:",
  model: "claude-v1",
  max_tokens_to_sample: 500
})

Param seems to be max_tokens instead of max_tokens_to_sample

from the Anthropic docs it seems that the maximum number of generated token should be set by the max_tokens parameter, while max_tokens_to_sample is being used in the code: Am I missing anything? Thanks.

Missing version header

I'm getting this when trying to run your message example. Any suggestions? Thanks!
