Conference Buddy 2.0.

✨ this is a work-in-progress project ✨

Conference Buddy is currently in an aplha-version. This enables us to gather feedback and see what features are needed.

Background about the project

Conference Buddy provides a platform where you can find companions for tech conferences if you're uncomfortable going on your own - or if you want to support someone who feels that way!

You can look for one or more person with whom you can attend a conference together. Support each other, find a familiar face between all these strangers. You will feel more at ease and comfortable just knowing you’re not alone.

At the same time, you have the opportunity to help others to feel better! Let’s make tech events more approachable - one Buddy at a time.

Local development

⚠️ at the moment, there is no public available script for a initializing database tables.

Install supabase-cli
Install Docker (needed for supabase-cli)
Run supabase start
Run pnpm dev
Visit app on localhost:8000

conferences now are a table in supabase
conference pages and conference list should be sourced from supabase instead of markdown files

Create first iteration for conference list page with data sourced from a markdown files in the repository

Description

User need to see a list of conferences where they can connect with potential Conference Buddys.

First iteration

This list should show name, date, location of the conference. (later also tags and cta, ignore them on mockup)
data should live in this repository (markdown) and sourced from here

@programmiri could you enable GitHub pages from the gh-pages branch, so the current version of the app can be viewed on https://conference-buddy.github.io/conference-buddy-web-app/

Update meta data etc in Layout

Also use SEO component :D
