Stuff below is severely outdated

Hello there

So how do I get started? Oh I got it:

programing

Scratch

I made a 2d minecraft clone in Scratch which I was quite proud of at the time.

Batch

I started with "real" programing in Batch (ik bad language). I have programed a working Chat with it while I followed a YouTube video. After that was finished I started adding more an more features until I started:

HTML & CSS

After I used Batch. I tried myself in HTML and CSS. I understand how it works and gave me some Ideas. But I'm not the creative person and I didn't like HTML that much (maybe I'd love it if I learned it more). I now restarted with them on my page I got bored and started with:

Java

I thought since when I started programing I always heard of Java but I thought it was to complicated. But it was already 2 Years since I started programing. I started Java mainly because I started playing minecraft Java edition and wanted to code a plugin. After I did my plugin I strted with console applications and started programing QSE:

C#

Here I am. I ported QSE to C# because a friend said I could build a GUI. I made the GUI and ported the code in about 3 hours. At first I developed new features in C# and Java but I quickly realized that it was to much work. That's why I discontinued the Java Version. I started Loving C# that much that I now only code in C# And want to make a GUI for everything:

node.js, js & electron:

With my Website I ofc had to start with js to make it more interactive/have a use. Along with that the streamer tools client is now written in node.js with electron and html for the UI.

Problems? (OUTDATED)

I have my basic Code I use for almost every project (Buttons, Layout, Update Code). But It takes about half an hour to an hour to get the GUI to look nice and set up everything for a new program. So I sometimes hate it. At least I now have one big project which is easier to manage. Still is a lot of affort but it pays of.

What am I doing right now?

Various things. I won't update the status.

computerelite.github.io's Issues

Missing Obb files

Is there any way you can update this to include the obb files for the apks? For example downgrading to FitXR/BoxVR it requires obb files but those aren't being pulled for some reason. For example
the latest FitXR apk is
https://securecdn.oculus.com/binaries/download/?id=4476499995716109
the obb file that goes with it is:
https://securecdn.oculus.com/binaries/download/?id=4476499445716164

But that's only the current one. Would be great to also be able to get the older obb files otherwise cannot use older apk's that require old obbs.

URL Mismatch for 2 Core Mods for 1.26.2

The version 1.26.2 mods.json (which I found on the GUI briefly but has disappeared again) lists the URLs for two of the core mods incorrectly (so they 404). I opened an issue for Metalit so he/she would be aware; I don't know which of you would fix the problem.

PlayerDataKeeper's version for 1.26.2: the github release is named https://github.com/Metalit/PlayerDataKeeper/releases/tag/v0.1.5 but the json link is listed without the "v" as just "0.1.5"

PlaylistCore is also affected, but the reverse is true; the github release is named https://github.com/Metalit/PlaylistCore/releases/tag/1.1.3 without a "v" in its name, but the mods.json list shows up as "v1.1.3"

When I view the source file, I only see version 1.25.1 in the JSON. Yet when I first followed my bookmark to your questmods page, it defaulted to 1.26.2 (showing only core mods). Then the second visit, those versions disappeared and I only found up to 1.25.1 again. Now I opened it again and I see 1.26.2 in the list. So I don't know what's going on. LOL... if you're making changes to the page, all is explained; otherwise, it's acting crazy.

Also, I did note that a couple of mods (such as Metalit's Transitions) don't show up in the third-party mods section of the 1.26.2 list, perhaps because they only show compatibility in their releases up to version 1.26.1. But they might still be compatible. Maybe a pull for 1.26.* would work better to grab mods that should still work fine with the hotfixed version of the game. Just a thought. :)

Anyway, I hope this helps! And thank you for all of the time you (and other mod authors) spend on these; they DO make the game better!

Display newly added beat saber mods/updates on mod versions page since last visit

I've just been manually using the commit history for the mods.json, but it would be nice if the site itself showed when new mods or updated versions are added. Possibly something like saving the current list to localstorage or indexeddb, then on load check the saved version against the current one, and color the mods with changes differently so you could easily scroll down the page and find the updated/new mods.

Never gonna give u up video, pretty annoying

Hi, first of all, thanks for the guide.

Second, your page is linked from here, and this commit (and the other 2 after that one) is a bit annoying now that Facebook is down. Could this be a bit less intrusive? I had to disable JS to check what the website said.

Thanks
