"apparent.position" should be used to get a stars apparent position at a given time in equatorial coordinates. These then need to be transformed to horizontal coordinates using "coords" to match the place of the observer. Please take a look at the corresponding tests for their usage.

Thanks. I used your lib for jd, jde, gmst, sun & moon position calculation, but the answer to my original question was simpler - tilt the celestial sphere axis relative to observer latitude then rotate relative to observer longitude before applying time of day rotation offset.
