Event Manager

Support for SORTING
Support for FILTERING (e.g. name)

Member Signature

Based on filled sports create his signature which consists of icons that represents concrete sports.

Location title

There is no Location Title in entity Location so "title" that user enters when he creates event is not persisted.

Adding event - location validation

Form can't be submitted when no location is inputted.
Do we want to enforce it ? Not sure, user probably could add event without location and add them later in event manager.

Moreover, when this exception occurs , it is hot handled anyhow, just written in the logs and no error message is displayed on the page.

Date Format

Messed up date format (that wrong one with seconds) at search result

Event view - invite

There has to be possibility for inviting people.

This needs to be discussed further
Who can invite ? only owner ? everybody ? if everybody, there needs to be some additional attribute added to the Event entity

Also, inviting should be probably possible from EVENT MANAGER and also from EVENT VIEW.

Map Bean

Currently, code for GMap is quite repetitive. Create one bean that can be used in several places.
There is already MapUtils so use that.

Titles

Lot of page titles are missing or just "Index!" is present.

Profile View

Simple profile view, for now, displaying basic Member's entity attributes is enough.

also, when viewing someones profile there has to be possibility to invite them..

profile privacy settings needs to be discussed further.

Add Event - points

Add more options for adding event points - via text search (google rest api),...

Text based spatial search

Add support for text search when you are querying events.
Underline implementation will consist of calling google REST API with inputted text, this will return answer (XML) where LAT/LONG will be present . Parse this coordinate and create Point.

Image functionality

Add possibility do upload image, store it and display it.
We should investigate whether Infinispan is suitable.

Event View - styling

I would prefer some styling on event view - especially event attributes are stilled somehow displayed badly

I should add some line separator at least after CAPACITY
then double dot : after Description
Then new line, then description

maybe also distinguish between KEYWORDS (description, capacity, ) and values ifself ("trip to france", 4)

Event view - zoom computation bug

Keď si zobrazíš nejaký event, a vyrolluješ tú mapu, tak je nastavený maximálny zoom..
aspoň v mojom use case. Plus ten marker by mal zobrazovať nejaké detaily - aspoň ten titul a typ.

objavilo sa to na viacerých podstránkach, napr. aj na GMap view v event managerovi.

Search - people

This is the first step in order to implement Friendship.
There has to be possibility to perform Search on "Member" entity.

Event view - inline edits

Allow owner (or another admin, if we also consider this) to edit certain values

for sure this can be private/public attribute, capacity, end date, he should also be able to add more checkpoints and edit skills

Event search - add search for other location types.

We need to consider once again the possibility for user to search not only within START points.

What if I dont care where events starts ? What If I am willing to add later on the trip and I am only interested in various checkpoints or end point ? I think we need to add this possibility for sure.

Registration can't be performed again after submitting form with wrong values

Quite ugly bug.

Registration can not be performed again when user inputs some wrong value - you need to press REFRESH, only then you can submit the form again.

Follow these steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. go to http://localhost:8080/peaktogether/register.jsf
  2. fill some input badly - for example, type "test" as an email
  3. submit the form
  4. observe "not a well-formed email address"
  5. put the correct mail in - [email protected] (also fill in the passwords, as it got resetted)
  6. observe following message in server.log

Check for capacity when joining event

If you are not joined to the event and the capacity is full instead of JOIN/LEAVE button display EVENT FULL message

If you are joined to the event and the capacity is full, still offer possibility to LEAVE event.

Friendship request

After implementing searching on Members there has to be possibility to SEND REQUEST for a friendship.

Skill/Sport component

Always add some description so user know what it is for.
like
"Please fill sports you are experienced in"
or
"Please fill sports you are going to do in this event and minimum skill for tem"

PrimeFaces has built-in support for language localization for calendar component.

Based on local settings that are present in browser set locale attribute in calendar component.
