sfdc's Issues

Add Branding Opportunities to quarterly email

Currently, the logo URL field is managed by core LF and it is not up to date for all projects. Pallavi said they could add all logos for our current CNCF members to this field as this will be where we store the information when the automate join form is live.

The Jira ticket for this work is here: https://jira.linuxfoundation.org/browse/LC-566

The goal is to include this in the Q2 quarterly email, pending progress on the LF side.

automatically log blogs in SFDC

For the future quarterly engagement emails, I'd like to have the tracking of blogs and webinars display in SFDC automatically. To achieve this, we could push members to a cloud form to submit their blog content and it would automatically store the submission under the digital engagement record of the account. We could also set it up to email [email protected] so that the team would get a notification to review the submission by the member. Ideally, we could build in an automated workflow where Kim or Jessie could review and "accept" or "decline" and it would automatically email the member back with a templatized email, letting them know the outcome.

Q2 End user member engagement email

End users were removed from the initial phase of emails as they receive different benefits and programs with membership. The goal is to create an end user focused quarterly email as well slated for Q2. @KimMcMahon and @oicheryl and I have a call in early March to hash out what programs we want to feature, develop the content, and will work with @dheerajkottali to build out the DE and email in SFMC once the programs are finalized.

Member Engagement email

We will be sending a highly customized quarterly engagement email to each member. Currently blocked waiting on agreement of Marijana and Chris B. on format for data uploads.

Wish List item to include:

Auto-populate webinars

When a webinar completes, the attendees should be auto-populated into SFDC.

This is blocked by the need for the Zoom plugin.

CNCF Member Engagement Quarterly Emails - Q1 2020

Deliverable: Develop quarterly member engagement email.
Detailed requirements are documented in this google doc.

Technical requirements to execute using SFMC and SFDC:

  • Build a custom data extension to populate dynamic content blocks

  • Build and manage SQL queries to automatically populate DE every quarter

  • Fix any mapping issues/logic with the DE and dynamic content blocks as needed

  • Create new fields in SFDC to be able to populate the DE as needed

  • Build a custom report and dashboard to track engagement with the email

  • Build email in such a way that when we get feedback from the member EG: I do not want to become a KCSP or KTP. Ensure this content is not displayed in the next quarter.

Create member engagement dashboard

@dheerajkottali I'd like a dashboard to easily see a member company's participation in the CNCF programs we outline in our engagement email in a time frame I select. I want to be able to:

Choose my Project = Cloud Native Computing Foundation

  • type in and select my Member company = VMware for example
  • Choose my timeframe based on install date or start date
    press go!
  • Display all of their member primary contact name, email, job title and member role associated with the project purchase history selected
Display the logo link if we have it
  • Digital Engagements
list out Webinars - Title, date, registrants, attendees
list out Blogs - Title, date, link to web
  • Events:
  • List all events and sponsorship levels they have sponsored (based on the timeframe chosen above and project selected)
  • Display if they are, are not, or not interested in KCSP, KTP, or Certified Kubernetes

Potentially have a filter for End Users to then show End User specific information like:
Company Profile
Case Study

Explore if we could link to a report that shows how many people from their company attended an event.
Also, explore how we could show what companies have NOT participated in the programs. Probably a separate "Unengaged dashboard"

automate reports in SFDC to populate Taylor's weekly dashboard

@taylorwaggoner can you add the link to the SFDC dashboard Marijana did create orignially to this issue?
Comments:
What’s the plan to get all the pieces automated for all areas of our weekly report?
2020 goal - get training in SFDC, registration from Cvent, and sponsorship.
Confirm that these things are happening.
How are kubecon registrations getting added to SFDC and to the newsletter?
Dashboard for Taylor, what was the number last week, what’s the number this week and where did the increases come from?

Top Sponsors report in SFDC

We would like a custom report that will show us who our top sponsors are (Diamond, Platinum, Gold sponsors) across all of our KubeCon EU, NA, and China events starting in 2018 to today. Today, this is tracked manually in a spreadsheet. Going forward because all products and event assets are logged in SFDC once purchased, we'd like to automate this tracking. @dheerajkottali once our member engagement email is set up, I will share the sheet with you and we will begin work on this report.
