docs's Issues

Custom Sign out example needs to be updated

I was looking at the Custom Sign out example for React and it is using the useAuth hook which doesn't seem to be a part of the @clerk/nextjs package (and therefore not a part of @clerk/react package as, if I am right, the hooks are extended from the clerk react package).

This example should be updated to use the useClerk hook as that is what returns the signOut function.

Google social login setup guide lacking

This has a few arrows that are not described in the text:

  • how to figure out which scopes to set
  • where to find the redirect URL
  • some tips on how to "publish" the app as Google says they'll somehow verify the app before external users may access it

Typo in User Object section

I would have done a PR but what's on your site isn't actually in this repo. Checked your 3.0.0, and it's not there either.

https://github.com/clerkinc/docs/blob/2.0.0/main-concepts/user-object.md

On your site, you have this:

Users can be contacted at their primary email address or primary phone number. They can have more than one registered email address, but only one of them will be their primary email address. Same thing with phone numbers; they can have more than one, but only one will be their primary. At the same time, they can also have one more more external accounts by connecting to OAuth providers such as Google, Apple, Facebook & many more.

The last sentence isn't actually reflected in the docs, but it says 'one more more', I think maybe it's meant to say, 'more than one external account' ? Or something similar. Anyways, thank you for a great dev experience!
