Run using Docker

Create a tmp folder for the database:

mkdir tmp/db

Then run:

docker-compose up

Running Locally

To run this Rails project locally, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you have Ruby installed. You can check the Ruby version by running the following command in your terminal:

    ruby -v
    
  2. Install the required system dependencies. These dependencies may vary depending on your operating system. Refer to the project's documentation for specific instructions.

  3. Configure the project. Update any necessary configuration files, such as config/database.yml, to match your local environment.

  4. Create the database. Run the following command to create the database:

    rails db:create
    
  5. Install the project dependencies. Run the following command to install the required dependencies:

    npm install
    
  6. Start the development server. Run the following command to start the Rails server:

    bin/dev
    
  7. Access the application. Open your web browser and navigate to http://localhost:3000 to access the running application.
