Getting Started
https://docs.astro.build/en/getting-started/
Inside of your Astro project, you'll see the following folders and files:
/
โโโ public/
โโโ src/
โ โโโ components/
โ โโโ content
โ โ โโโ posts/ <= Markdown / MDX contents
โ โ โโโ config.ts
โ โโโ data/
โ โ โโโ index.ts
โ โโโ layout/
โ โ โโโ markdown.astro
โ โโโ pages/
โ โ โโโ posts/
โ โ โ โโโ [...page].astro <= for post list pages
โ โ โ โโโ [...slug].astro <= for each `.md/.mdx` page
โ โ โโโ index.mdx
โ โโโ utils/
โโโ package.json
Astro looks for .astro
or .md
files in the src/pages/
directory. Each page is exposed as a route based on its file name.
There's nothing special about src/components/
, but that's where we like to put any Astro/React/Vue/Svelte/Preact components.
Any static assets, like images, can be placed in the public/
directory.
All commands are run from the root of the project, from a terminal:
