Python bindings to the OpenStack Object Storage API

This is a python client for the Swift API. There's a Python API (the swiftclient module), and a command-line script (swift).

Development takes place via the usual OpenStack processes as outlined in the OpenStack wiki. The master repository is on GitHub.

This code is based on original the client previously included with OpenStack's swift The python-swiftclient is licensed under the Apache License like the rest of OpenStack.

broken with rackspace ostack impl / keystone auth fails

rackspace uses its own non standard auth impl for openstack keystone credential passing, which means all standards compliant clients are broken for it without special support. nova client has this capability via setting NOVA_RAX_AUTH=1 .. swift should get it as well, although ideally this should be fixed via support for the standard v2 auth mechanism. Without either of these, swift client is broken with rackspace when using keystone.
