mrgi-app's Introduction

README

rails s -b $IP -p $PORT

${

sudo service postgresql start

} Restarts postgres crashed server (make sure to migrate db afterwards

current == L68 –>

Phase 1: Merge Saas Project with Rsoftware Template need to first create an rails app with { rails new newappname }

After finished installing bring terminal inside file

delete files you intend to replace (be careful replacing *gitignore and gemlock file, also tat gemfile that is replaced doesn’t have outdated syntaxes)

paste new files

rake db:create db:migrate

will possibly say issues with postgres id (from copied app) is already in use. So you need to follow the steps on link given below

The link below will explain the issue with grabbing a finished project already having a pg db id (in files database.yml) stackoverflow.com/questions/19828385/pgconnectionbad-could-not-connect-to-server-connection-refused

du list users

First login as postgres user:

sudo su - postgres psql

then l shows projects with q as exit

rake db:drop db:create db:migrate

CREATE DATABASE mrgi_production WITH OWNER yourname; connect to the required db: psql -d databaseName

dt would return the list of all table in the database you’re connected to.

sudo service postgresql start

gem install pg

finish initial edits (versions etc) before deploy..

***make sure for heroku’s sake! Gemfile has ruby version written on top like this first:

//ruby -v tells you the active version

{
source "https://rubygems.org"
ruby "2.2.4"
}

rm postmaster.pid

bundle install

rake db:drop db:create db:migrate

Phase 2: Push project (MAKE SURE TO USE SSH WITH GIT SO PASSWORD IS ONLY ONCE) Git Init

a) Set up git link to new account
    $ git init
    $ git status
    $ git add -A
    $ git commit -m "Initial Deploy"

    go to github site and manke new repo (make name same as project folder)

    follow steps under "..or push an existing repository from the command line"
    copy and paste the two lines into command line

    $git push

b) Set up with heroku
    $ heroku create
        input cred
    $ heroku rename nenameofapp
    $ git status #making sure there are no needed commits got git first
    $ git push heroku master

Set up Sendgrid
Set up stp

view_devise_registrations_new.html

. Set your remote URL to a form that supports SSH 1 If you have done the steps above and are still getting the password prompt, make sure your repo URL is in the form

git+ssh://[email protected]/username/reponame.git as opposed to

github.com/username/reponame.git To see your repo URL, run:

git remote show origin You can change the URL with:

git remote set-url origin git+ssh://[email protected]:username/mrgi-app.git

Phase 3.0 Making Custom Css interact with framework

Merge a) index page (logged out) *finished Merge a.2 navbar for entire application *finished • Fix logic on paths if signed in or signed out *current — 1. find “ view_devise_registrations_new.html ”, in recoveryunit.wf folder on pc last fix between lines #111 - #117 — Fix spacers between navigation, and application.html - render paths Merge b) sign up page Merge c) sign in page Merge d) forgot password page Merge d.2 resend forgot p# “/users/confirmation/new” Webflow Merge e) index (logged in) path Webflow version Merge f) (logged in) project “/tenants/1/projects/1” page Uses templates of page E Merge g) New Artifact page “/artifacts/new?project_id=#” Uses templates of page A-D Merge h) “Members/new” Uses templates of page A-D Merge i) “/plan/edit” Uses templates of page A-D Merge j) “/users/edit” Uses templates of page A-D Merge k) “/tenants/1/projects/1/users” Webflow version Uses templates of page E Merge L) “/tenants/1/projects/1/edit” Webflow version Uses Template of page E and also calendar Widget Make support path Connect navbar with support page Outline steps in the readme file (not private) Outline steps keep all outlined steps inside readme file Push well developed application to heroku This means fixing depreciated messages

Phase 3.1: Follow private message on adding keys including all written security measures

Phase 4: DP from heroku to GAE

This README would normally document whatever steps are necessary to get the application up and running.

Things you may want to cover:

  • Ruby version

  • System dependencies

  • Configuration

  • Database creation

  • Database initialization

  • How to run the test suite

  • Services (job queues, cache servers, search engines, etc.)

  • Deployment instructions

Please feel free to use a different markup language if you do not plan to run rake doc:app.

testing git push

Last fix was adding a email sender from actionmailerMake sure to not deploy application until fixing issue on postgresql

$ bin/rails generate scaffold user name email login $ bin/rails db:migrate
