目前在用系统为 Win 10，我习惯使用两个虚拟桌面，一个负责浏览器和工作办公，另一个桌面负责 IM 软件（不要戳穿）。
但是当我在虚拟桌面1使用 Seer 预览图片的时候，切换到虚拟桌面2，虚拟桌面2依然会显示预览图片，必须切回到虚拟桌面1，按下快捷键取消预览，再切换到虚拟桌面2才可以正常使用其他软件，否则预览图片回挡住屏幕。
望解决这个事。

Seer is constantly using the CPU on my system when it's running in the background.

Unfortunately, the amount of resources this consumes is far from trivial. I get it hovering somewhere around 0.5% on my fairly high-specced main system (a quad-core Skylake Xeon with 64GB RAM), and at a whopping 10-15% inside a single-CPU VMware VM running on the same hardware.

Another fun fact is that I easily get to 10% CPU load on my main system when Seer is running inside the VM.

The amount of CPU used is not related to tracking the selected files in Explorer. If Seer is running, it using a lot of the CPU time. I have tried this with both 0.8 and 1.0, and the result is exactly the same.

This looks like a failry serious bug that needs to be addressed. Rest assured I will be a paying customer once it does.

• 打开预览时最好有一些渐变的动画，类似Picasa
• 优化一下office文件的预览速度，或者换msoffice转成pdf的库

Is must have in wondows 10.
But I look that doesn't work with the files stored in my smb server.

没有测试过TC等类似文件管理器，在DC上，我已经在 选项-Files Views 去掉了空格移动到下一文件的选项，但seer依然没有成功预览。

I can't stand having things in the tray that I don't need. I want the app to just run at startup and be permanently running in the background. If I want to change settings I can find it in the start menu. But get the stupid icon out of my tray.

I'm uninstalling until this is added. I'd rather lose the functionality this offers than add another tray icon.

Being forced to use Windows at work after many years under OS X, your software is a blessing! Thanks a lot!

Here's my problem : I'm always rendering my videos in the Cineform codec in a Quicktime wrapper. Seer doesn't read them, which is normal, even VLC needs a plugin for that. But instead of displaying nothing or just telling me "I do not recognize the file type", it crashes (and displays nothing. No window with loading sign). I then need to kill the process and restart Seer.

First thing's first: Great job! I have been looking for a decent Windows based Quick Look application for quite some time.

Maybe I missed it, but is there a way to configure the display font for plain text files? Programming related files (.java, .xml, ...) seem to be displayed in a fixed-width font on my PC, but .txt files are displayed using a proportional font. It would be great if one could configure the font type and size for all plain text files.

As a second step, customizing the font type and size used for displaying binary file information would also be appreciated. Are there any plans to introduce font customization in future releases?

Love your app, but it would be nice if it was possible to change file types.
As a webdesigner i use TypeScript (.ts) which is plain text, so it would be nice to be able to remove the .ts from "media", and add it to "text"

I think the look of window could be improved a little bit. Currently, the seer window looks a lot like normal explorer window : it's white, square, opaque, slight shadow...
This makes it a bit confusing when there are other window open.

If you compare, on Mac OS X, quicklook and normal window have a very different look :

I'd suggest copying what they did : semi-transparent, dark and rounded window

loved Seer then the icons got buggered. I have since removed Seer and all traces of it and yet it still shows the blue question mark on all files in one folder. I have deleted the iconcache file without success. How can I fix these icons?

I can see the local view just fine, I think. But the "available" isn't coming up. See copied screenshots below.

Would love to see AIFF-support in Seer. I work a lot with audio files and people cross-use WAV and AIFF in film stuff so I have lots of both.

hello this application is so much useful ..but when i am working ion photoshop or illustrator that time some "space bar", "alt" and "ctrl" doesn't work...please add feature to seer disable for particular EXE file

There's this Sublime Plugin which opens files in Total Commander. I believe it might be useful for creating your own plugin.

First I have to say I simply love the program! I also own a Mac and since I use my Windows PC most of the time for gaming and modding I was really missing the "quick look" feature!

I am having some problems with setting up Controls, more specifically on how to actually use this feature of Seer? The Controls.jpg doesn't really do a good job on explaining on how to setup them up or how they even work. I followed the pictures and even made a random txt file and changed the extension to .cpp as shown in the pictures but nothing happens. I saved the txt file to a folder instead of the Desktop since Seer doesn't support the quick look feature from the actual Desktop itself and I couldn't get it to view the txt file when I tried to "Seer" it from the Desktop folder itself.

Any input would be greatly appreciated! All in all great work on the program!

SavePictureAs is an AutoHotKey script that allows one to save an image with hotkeys. When Seer is open, SavePictureAs will save the wrong filename, using ; in the save path instead of :

Tested for 30 minutes and can replicate easily.

一般的预览倒是无所谓，但是预览PDF文档之类的时候无法直接用滚轮滚动，还得先点一下，比较麻烦

I've been using Seer on a Surface Pro 4, and scrolling in the PDF preview has been unreliable.

Fast scrolling (i.e. 1 or two pages at a time) works fine, with little latency unless a later page hasn't been loaded. However, it appears that when performing the scrolling gesture at slower speeds, the pdf preview will only move a single line and then stop, no matter the distance of the scrolling gesture.

Fixing this to allow more reliable scrolling would greatly improve usability.

在刚刚安装后第一次运行时插件运行正常，但关闭后再次开启时就会找不到插件，并提示“权限失败，配置插件配置无法保存”。如图：

若以管理员身份运行时同样找不到插件，但不会提示“权限失败……”
而根据作者提供的路径添加插件时会找不到插件：

但通过文件管理器查看发现插件数据存在：

作者应该是**人或者会中文吧？我就不用英文了。
目前没发现其他问题，软件很便利，谢谢作者的开发和分享。

Windows 10 reading off FAT32 CompactFlash memory cards. After previewing the file (.mov) the file in the directory shows up as 3K and all the data from the file is gone. I lost about a dozen shots from a video shoot today simply by previewing them before I figured out what was happening.

I can pretty much preview any file, especially after I installed some of the plugins (like autocad, jpg2png, eps-convertor) but most jpg files just show metadata and no image.

Last working version is 0.8, when I upgrade to v 1, all menu list of the notify icon get dimmed, and space bar shorcut doesn't work anymore. I have also Listary and QuickAccessPopUp installed.
I also can't get preview for jpg and fonts (I have plugins installed). Photoshop and illustrator preview works (very slow), but the image is not fitted to the monitor dimension. It's as it was showed in real pixel (1:1) and so it is expanded beyond the monitor margins. :)

I specified the right path for dopusrt.exe, yet even after restarting both applications and even my PC, pressing the keyboard shortcut does not bring up/activate Seer, no matter what you specify the keyboard shortcut to be.

In Directory Opus, if I hit the keyboard shortcut, the mouse very briefly gets the spinning wheel, so clearly something happens behind the scenes when I press the keyboard shortcut, but for some reason it is not showing anything.

Please look into this.

Also, as a side note, Seer has 'Run At System Start' enabled but it does not start on boot. Is this a local issue with my PC, or is there something wrong with Seer?

First of all, great job! Congrats!

Facing an issue with the office plugin. After I preview the file, I can not delete it. It takes me a reboot to do so. If you can, please, fix it.

One last thing, it would be better if exists another plugin for (all) office documents. The one avaiable or is fast but too restrict or covers all, but too slow.

Why not if you view a for example .html file, there should be two views in my opinion.

• First view: The raw html code or text.
• Second View: HOW THE HTML LOOKS IN A BROWSER ENVIRONMENT
• The point of this being so you can see how it looks in a browser without a browser.
• It doesn’t have to be too detailed. (I.e. loading external css files and external javascript.) That I agree is too much for the simplicity of the Seer Program. But at least understand inline-css or something to that extent
• But formatting strings of text according to the html tags would truly be great and helpful.

I am aware of this feature being developed, and will possibly be available in the next version or coming versions of Seer!

I tried everything to get it to work on my Windows 10 PC and so far no luck. Tried re-installing, rebooting and tweaking the settings, but it just doesn't seem to work. Worked on different machine without hitch though. Both machines are running Windows 10 Pro with all latest updates installed, both machines are running dual monitors.

Seer has a nice UI, but I think there are still places for improvements.

For example, the property page, I think the it is better to left more spacing at the left margin.

This is a great tool - however, why isn't there a setting for closing the preview by pressing on "Esc" or clicking away anywhere on the screen?

It doesn't also help trying to close it by pressing alt+F4 because the focused screen is typically Explorer.exe (in other words, when I try to close it by pressing alt+F4 I end up closing the Explorer window and not Seer)

Is there any plans to add this setting soon?

Seer displays portrait oriented jpegs in landscape orientation. Opening in Irfanview displays jpegs in correct portrait orientation. Spacebar-ing with seer displays portrait jpeg in landscape mode.

p.s.: my neck's getting sore tilting my head to look at these jpegs...

Im experiencing Seer opening images randomly by itself when I enter new folders. And some times it does it multiple times so I have to wait for it to finish before I can continue working. A bit frustrating

thanks for this great app. Really enjoy it so far.

I was wondering if it is possible to preview all my images in a folder with a preview table (same as on mac). You select multiple images and press spave bar and get a preview of all images. If there are more then let's say 8 by 5 images on the screen, you can scroll downwards to see the other images.
I was using that a lot on mac to find images quickly in a folder. Here is a video that explains what i mean better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98sJXdWmJ7o

I mean you can sort of do that with windows if you choose the large preview tumbnail scale. But that thumbnail size is still way to small I find.

1- After uninstall, there are still some things left in the regedit. Like:

- HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/COREY and everything under that.
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run/Seer
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/WindowsNT/CurrentVersion/AppCompatFlags/CompatibilityAssistant/Store/Seer
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/CurrentVersion/AppPaths - 1syt.exe and 7za.exe

2- After uninstall thede folders remain:

• Seer folder under Program Files
• Corey folder under AppData\Local
• Seer folder under AppData\Local\Temp
• Seer folder under AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files

I don't really know how seer manage to preview .psd files.

It seems that the embedded color space profile doesn't get read properly. This leads to a oversaturated preview picture sometimes, a minor problem, if you have time maybe you can have a look into that.

System: Windows anniversary update 64-bit with calibrated profiles enabled.
Hardware: A wide gamut monitor, calibrated with ICC profile.
Files encountered problems: Embedded sRGB or CMYK color space.

I don't need to know that it's started. This shouldn't be a thing, as it's both annoying and useless.

I would suggest putting an option in settings to disable this behaviour, or just remove it entirely.
