Redshirt

An unofficial API library for interacting with the College Football Data (CFBD) API. For information about the API, or to acquire an API token, please visit CollegeFootballData.com.

Installation

def deps do

end

Configuration

You can override the URL of your server (e.g. if you have a separate development and production server in your configuration files).

config :redshirt, base_url: "https://api.collegefootballdata.com"

Development

Building

To install the required dependencies and to build the elixir project, run:

mix local.hex --force
mix do deps.get, compile

Sometimes team conference names are ambiguous for games

The CFBD API returns away_conference and home_conference for the /games endpoint, but sometimes these are ambiguous. Specifically, the following conference names are not unique:

  • Ivy
  • Missouri Valley
  • Rocky Mountain
  • SWAC
  • Southern
  • Southland
  • Western Athletic

Looking at the query, it seems that away_conference_id and home_conference_id could be added easily by updating the SELECT statement and the data structure returned from in the response.

I'll open an issue and see what Bill thinks.
