Another bug is that if I have a message in the preview pane that is S/MIME signed and then change to a folder that has no messages in it, the info bar stays; see attached screenshot. Normally, the info bar should vanish automatically upon folder change.

Special characters like ö ä ü ß à á è é etc. should be automatically converted when checking for mismatches between certificate name and senders name.

Often, the senders name has special characters, but OpenSSL certificates can't. Then a mismatch is shown, which actually isn't one.

ö -> oe ä -> ae ü -> ue ß -> ss à -> a á -> a è -> e é -> e

etc.

Upon installing version 1.1 of the GUI, I get DOCTYPE overlay SYSTEM "chrome://cs532/locale/cs532.dtd"

I found another bug. I also use Enigmail for OpenPGP encryption. When your plugin is installed, the "pen" is missing from the message headers. When it is disabled, it is shown as expected.

I guess that your plugin hooks all the time to manage the display, but it only should when S/MIME is targeted, not when PGP/MIME. :-)

Sometimes, the information is displayed, sometimes not. I simply see the normal message window, without the notification area of your extension.

interestingly, now I have the errors again and again that my messages don't get recognized as digitally signed. Even the Thunderbird icon is missing in that case, but upon re-opening the message, it appears again. If the extension is deleted, it works fine again.
