wingpanel-indicator-weather's Issues

Location and all weather data "N/A"

I recently packaged this indicator for the AUR.

The indicator appears in wingpanel, but none of the weather data, nor my location, are displayed.

Whether I use location discovery, or specify a location manually, nothing changes.

In dconf, I found that the indicator is aware of the location I specified, which is set in the key com.github.casasfernando.wingpanel-indicator-weather.location-manual.

I tried specifying various locations (Toyko, New York), but nothing gets results.

Provide translations

Would be nice to have this translated.

This indicator is the last missing piece. Hope it will be stock someday :)

Switch to OpenWeatherMap (OWM) as weather data provider

At the moment the indicator is using any available provider (mainly US weather office -IWIN-).
Unfortunately this may be less reliable for locations outside the US (especially not major cities).
Switching to OWM may improve things on this aspect and libgweather already supports OWM as a provider but OWM requires an API key for the application to use their API.

At the moment I couldn't find a way to pass the OWM API key value for libgweather to use it and this is blocking the progress to implement this.
I opened an issue/question but it remains unanswered.

If anyone has the answer or can point me in the right direction to pass the OWM API key to libgweather please feel free to share.

Thanks.

Weather is N/A

After upgrade to 23.04 from ubuntu 22.04 it shows only N/A in weather, no matter what location i select.
I use elementary os 7

Unable to find location

The indicator refuses to show the weather. I've tried re-installing but it is still the same.

Also, changes to settings won't be reflected. I can't even change the location. If I choose a random location from the search bar it does nothing, so the "Location discovery" switch.
