It was reported that the ytt extension does not work with the kubernetes extension already installed, which installed the yaml extension (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=redhat.vscode-yaml).

We should try to make these work together, if possible.

i wanted to report here that i have published v0.0.3 manually on Open-VSX. I have no interest in claiming any ownership, if my actions interfere with a proper publication, feel free to contact me.
I have not made any changes to the extension or its namespace, it is still ewrenn so this extension is now directly accessible in codium under ewrenn.vscode-ytt.

For me and my colleagues SAP/ytt-lint did not work, but this extension did at syntax hilighting. (For whatever reason, we are also relatively new to ytt ).

I would be interested to know if this repo is still maintained, especially since not much is moving.

When I do:

#@ lib = struct.make(

the last three lines are being highlighted as if they were comments.

Using version 0.0.2 and vscode 1.45.1 (linux)

VScode natively supports split view previews for markdown, maybe we can implement something similar for ytt templates. We should be able to use the supported WebView API to accomplish this though, we would need a way for the user to enter a custom command or somehow specify what files ytt should be run with.
