using this plugin: https://github.com/gjtorikian/jekyll-last-modified-at doesn't seem to work as intended as the date is the same for all pages. It seems that's because the plugin doesn't detect git and uses mtime which is not really what we want.

There is another plugin: https://github.com/michaelx/jekyll-last-modified but it seems only to rely on the mtime.

Build checks on PRs keep failing. Here's an example explanation from the Netlify logs (private link). I don't know what this means or how to fix it.

Sponsors should be stored in a data yml file with fields for:

• Sponsor name
• Logo image
• Active status
• Maybe dates??

I am adding this issue to follow-up on our meeting conversation about the statistics included on the home page. We were okay with the number of workshops and countries but discussed issues with estimating learners. In conclusion we decided to update the stats as follows:

• Volunteers (Badged) [at some point we will need to decide active or not but for now we will go with all badges persons]
• Workshops (Cumulative)
• Countries

The data feed is available to use by the site but there is no page layout to use it.

This page wasn't included in the designs. Do we want to keep it? If so, a layout needs to be designed for it. There are potentially elements that are available to use for it.

currently we have a dedicated page with long sentences.
The new design puts the testimonials on the landing page and there is the option to add a photo and the country

We have websites, email addresses, etc. that we use throughout the website. To keep this data easy to maintain, these should all be defined by calling on variables defined in config.yml

Our sponsor list, as it appears on the front page, is built from this yml data, with logos in this folder.

@Talishask has logos for our sponsors. We have all current sponsor logos except for Posit. Talisha, can you put in a PR that puts the Posit logo in that folder and edits the line in the yml file to be just the main part of the image file name (without the extension)?

Also, if we want people to be able to click through from the logo on our website to the sponsor's website, can you update the URL fields in the yml file?

Right now, all files and folders live at root. This means we have index.html and folders like workshops etc. all at root. We should have these live in a folder called pages -- otherwise the repo contents are going to get very messy very fast.

Currently, only the "About Us" menu is done according to the octopus.io design see section "blog/newsletter alternate"

The css for the "selected" menu option is inconsistently applied and not working.

For example, on the workshops page (layout code and rendered page), the "Workshops" menu item has the active css style applied. Nothing changes when you click on the "Host workshop" menu option.

On the about us page (layout code and rendered page), no menu items have the active css style applied, and nothing changes as you click through various options.

in _includes/header.html

there is a currently a layout for each page (about us, workshops, ...) to account for the different sub navigation menu. Can this be modularized so there is a single layout?

so they match the way they are organized on the site.

and make sure that the URL format matches current site in _config.yml file
