How to stream DASH-LIVE content? about rx-player HOT 3 CLOSED

Do you mean if it is possible to read a DASH live content with rx-player or are you asking about the requirements of a streaming server to stream live content ?

First, rx-player is able to read DASH live content, by parsing available profiles in the manifest which, in the case of a live content provides the identifier : profiles="urn:mpeg:dash:profile:isoff-live:2011", as you can see here : https://github.com/canalplus/rx-player/blob/master/src/net/dash/parser.js#L390

If your goal is to stream a DASH live content, you must follow DASH sepcification, which you can find here : http://dashif.org/guidelines/

However, we recently started another project, called DASHme, which is able, given a smooth streaming live content, to create a dash live content. Take a look here : https://github.com/canalplus/dashme
