yahoo-finance's Introduction

################################ Extensions ############################################

Historical data is broken https://forums.yahoo.net/t5/Yahoo-Finance-help/has-yahoo-stopped-history-data-api-service/td-p/231325

gpaw789/yahoo-finance fixes it

borrowed code from Brad Lucas https://github.com/bradlucas/get-yahoo-quotes-python modified __init__.py to import gp.py file gp.py contains a new function get_historical2() which uses a different method to get historical data, albeit slower will provide similiar output as get_historical(), but will actually work

#New Method

  • get_historical2(self, start_date, end_date)
