MakiMaku

Maki Maku allows a user to select a movie genre and type in a zip code which then generates a stay-in date. It calls the movie api from "The Movie Database" and the restaurant API from "Documenu".

Tech used: HTML, Javascript, CSS, Materialize

If there is a movie/restaurant combo that the user would like to save they can click on the text and it will be saved to local storage then appended to the "Saved Move and Food Combo"

Visible API key

You should hide your API key with an environmental variable. Even if you don't necessarily care about this key get stolen, its good practice.

Movie Form

~Form where the user can enter their Zip Code
~Options for movie genres

Restaurant API

~Takes user input and generates 5 popular restaurants in that area

Restaurant Options Rendering

~Get the information from API to append to HTML

Radio Button Functionality

~Radio buttons send information to display movie function to render results
~Turn Radio button off after information recieved

Movie API

~Takes in user options selected
~Generates 5 random movies of that genre

add style

we need to familiarize ourselves with materialize and update the style

Saved Date Ideas

~After the user has recieved suggestions from the randomizer they can select the suggestions that they want to try and it will be saved in local storage.

~They can access "saved date ideas" on a separate page by clicking a tab/button

UberEats Form

A form where the user can input their zoom
