Those pins aren't used for anything on this PCB, but could still be useful for connecting to other things (robotics applications...) if they were exposed. The I2C lines should be exposed similarly (they kinda already are), maybe with 3v3 supply and ground lines.

Without a current-limiting resistor, most of the TX power will be shunted directly into GND instead of the transducer.

It seems like the queue_enqueue and queue_dequeue functions could generate spurious failures if they are interrupted between the LDREXW instruction and the buffer read *p by an interrupt handler that competes to perform the same enqueue/dequeue operation on the same queue. In this case, the function might return 0; even though the queue is not full/empty.

If this is the case, fixing it might be as simple as performing a STREXW (with the unchanged value - to check if the exclusive state has been lost) instead of CLREX, and then retry the loop instead of failing immediately.
