I just installed it yesterday. I haven't witnessed it working yet. All the icon ever shows me is "Err" over the icon, like so:

Even when I am on a page I'm visiting from a reddit link, so I know it's on reddit. I disabled RES extension and restarted firefox but that did not resolve.

I can't find any options.

It looks like currently every url of every tab is sent to reddit, to check if it is on reddit.

How can I ensure that only urls are sent where I explicitly want to know if it is on reddit,
and not have my whole browsing history shared with reddit?

Please show the submit button even when the add-on finds submitted posts in subreddits. It will be useful because if I see that a post hasn't been submitted to a relevant subreddit yet, I can go ahead and submit it from the add-on's view itself.

Compared with an alternative extension (with On reddit disabled):

Preparing to report this issue:

1. I found #3
2. I disabled tracking protection for the site and re-enabled On reddit
3. the toolbar icon appeared without 'Err'
4. still,

5. I disabled the alternative extension and reloaded the affected page,

Nothing here

– and 'Err'.

Maybe not exact steps (maybe not reproducible) but that's the essence of the issue.

Maybe a duplicate of #3 but strictly speaking, in my case the errors are not always.

Waterfox ~56.2.7.1 on FreeBSD-CURRENT.
