myfirstgamejamsummer2023's Issues

Building Cycle

Description

In this game phase, players gain access to build their army and village, shaping the foundation of their civilization.

The game starts with a single castle and three workers at the players' disposal. The players are tasked with constructing various buildings, including gold mines, lumber mills, and granaries. Moreover, they can train new units to form a formidable army.

Every unit and building comes with its associated cost for training or construction. The resources available in the game include gold, metal, wood, and food, which can be acquired through the buildings designed to harvest these resources.

The build cycle operates within a defined time limit, during which the players must strategize and plan their moves accordingly. Once the planning time expires, the players must confront an enemy wave.

Building and Training

Every construction and unit must adhere to a production queue and allocated time for training or building.

Battle System

Description

The battle system is a visual representation of a conflict between two teams - the user team and the computer team. Each team consists of different units, such as swordsmen, knights, sorcerers, priestesses, etc., each with its own unique strengths and weaknesses.

The objective of the battle is to eliminate all units from the opposing team until one team emerges victorious.

Win condition

In the event of a user victory, they will be rewarded with resources (gold, metal, wood, food) based on the enemy's level. Additionally, we need to calculate the number of units that perished on the battlefield.

Lose condition

If the user is defeated in the battle, they will suffer resource losses and we must also calculate the number of units lost in the conflict. While it is not necessary to eliminate all enemy units for a loss, it should have a more significant impact compared to the win condition.
