diggdigg's Issues

Google +1

Hello,

Even though I have selected the Google+1 option, unlike the other ones, the Google +1 button is not being displayed in the floating bar.

Can you please help (please see attached screenshot)?

Thanks,
LN

How to see who liked my posts(Blogs)-Facebook likes

Hi Digg Digg,
I am using your plugin for two months of time. Now i just want to know who are all liked my post(blog) Facebook likes. As of now i searched in internet i am not able to get anything related to that will you please give me the details.

Missing argument 4 for BaseDD::BaseDD()

We are receiving this warning with PHP 5.3.3.

mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Warning: Missing argument 4 for BaseDD::BaseDD(), called in /**/wp-content/plugins/digg-digg/include/dd-manual.php on line 123 and defined in /**/wp-content/plugins/digg-digg/include/dd-class.php on line 97

I am calling dd_digg_generate('Normal') to include it in our pages.

PHP Fatal error: constructNormalButtons

This occurs not only in conjunction with W3 Cache but also with other caching mechanisms (such as the WPEngine custom caching mechanism):
PHP Fatal error: constructNormalButtons() [function.constructnormalbuttons]: The script tried to execute a method or access a property of an incomplete object. Please ensure that the class definition "DD_Twitter" of the object you are trying to operate on was loaded before unserialize() gets called or provide a __autoload() function to load the class definition in /nas/wp/www/cluster-1266/cristi/wp-content/plugins/digg-digg/digg-digg.php on line 114, referer: http://www.craftycristian.com/

This seems to have been reported a number of times:

http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-digg-digg-fatal-error-with-floating-display?replies=19
But it's still unsolved in version 5.3.0
Thanks.

removing social networks

There are several social networks on there that are no longer functional, Google Buzz for example. Are there plans on removing and cleaning up some of this?

Since it's been 8 months since the last update, I'd be happy to fork this and clean up some of this.

Comments Not Displaying

I have installed the Digg Digg social sharing plugin for two clients today and once activated the comment area for the blog posts are no longer displaying. Is this typical? Any suggestions?

Conflict with Feature a Page Widget

I'm the author of the WordPress Feature a Page Widget plugin and just received this bug report. You can see the issue on this page.

A bit of googling led me to this plugin. Based on the problem, I'm guessing this is an issue involving filtering the_excerpt() (which my plugin applies to the excerpts it displays in the sidebar) though it might—but probably not—be a JS issue. I'll try to investigate further, but I wanted to file an issue here and see if you could offer any guidance.

Duplicate (2) floating bars in Chrome when page has embedded video

Hi,

The digg digg bar has a weird effect when viewing a site in chrome and there's an embedded video (youtube / Vimeo) on the page.

Please see the attached snapshot, but also the page here when using google chrome browser: http://www.labradortraininghq.com/labrador-breed-information/

Scroll down to the video, the bar stops at the start of the embedded video. A new one starts just after. Then scroll back up, you will have two digg digg bars in view, though only ones buttons will work.

This doesn't happen in IE, neither in Firefox, but it does in Google chrome...which is now over 50% of desktop browsers :o

Is it possible somebody could look into this? I just don't have the necessary skills :-s

Thanks in advance.
Mark.

Hide for tablets and phones?

Now that responsive design has become more or less standard, I think it would be a good idea to add an option to disable the toolbar on tablets and phones.

Code license

Thanks for publishing the code, but what's the license? People cannot contribute legally if the software license is not stated.

Facebook like linking to home page, not post.

If I use the like button, it says I like the whole website, instead of just the specific post the button is attached to. I've tried this with manual placement, and the automatic floating bar. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Twitter button does not change the twitter_username to @username

Used manual placement (based on the plugin setting options) with the following code:

Then made a shortcode of it (with plugin CodeInsert).
It seemed to work fine, yet the twitter button has this - what seems to me like a - bug.
Thanks for any input,

Dez

Pin It button not finding images on page

The Pin it button isn't working. The images aren't being passed to the Pinterest.

Here is the link the pin it button is showing

http://pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=[MY URL]&media=

It is blank after "media". I don't use featured images so I would think it should be grabbing the first image but I am getting the no image error from Pinterest. The error happens on Firefox and Chrome but the separate Pin It browser buttons work fine.

Stop displaying on Simple Press Forum

How can I keep diggdigg out of simple press forum.

I temporarily have it not connected to pages or posts to stop that from happening.

Or is there a manual code that I can use on wordpress pages I want it to show up?

Invalid W3C

Hi!

I recieved these errors when i use this plugin

As you can read, they are errors using Facebook and G+. I used the horizontal bar after the content with Twitter, G+ Facebook and Linkedin. Twitter and Linkedin seem to be clean.

Thank you for you excellent work, guys!

How to remove counters from Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook buttons?

Digg Digg authors suggested I come here for an answer. New to GitHub (as well as Digg Digg plugin) so hope I've posted my issue correctly! Have installed floating Digg Digg on our blogs (www.mygoforthegreen.com/blog) and it works great. I do not want a counter, however, and would appreciate knowing how to remove it...if it's possible. I can handle some coding if it's explained step by step (i.e., for a layman!). Thanks.

auto add jquery (for floating toolbar) if theme does not use jquery

hi my wp theme does not have jquery added by default n i couldn't figure out why diggdigg's floating toolbar did not load on the site. after i tried the sharebar plugin, i noticed diggdigg floating toolbar started loading as well.

searching through the wp plugin forum i saw andrew asking for some other users to check if jquery is added to the theme. i added jquery and it solved my problem but i didn't know what was the problem.

perhaps it might be good for other future users (like what sharebar is doing) to include in the code to check if jquery is alr added in the theme. if jquery is not added, then proceed to append jquery into the theme so floating toolbar works.

Support SSL when "Enable Email Button" is enabled

Can you add an option to add SSL support to the ShareThis plugin when "Enable Email Button" is enabled?

The code I'm referring to is (found in "include/dd-helper.php"):

if(!empty($email_option))
    {
        wp_deregister_script('dd_sharethis_js');
        wp_register_script('dd_sharethis_js', 'http://w.sharethis.com/button/buttons.js');
        wp_enqueue_script('dd_sharethis_js','http://w.sharethis.com/button/buttons.js',array('sharethis'),'1.0.0',true);
    }

You would have to replace "http://w" with "https://ws" if a "SSL" checkbox is ticked for instance.

Thanks!

Conflict with carousel and slider plugins...

Hi guys. First, let me say that I really do like DiggDigg's share bar. I found that after the 3.5.1 update, and the ensuing plugin updates, DiggDigg started to conflict with two plugins on two different sites. The plugins were iThemes Slider and Carousel. I deactivated all the plugins and reinstalled one at a time to see what was conflicting. As soon as I reactivated DiggDigg, both those plugins stopped rendering in Chrome, Safari and on iPhone 5. All rendered well in FireFox and IE9 (I know...IE9 with no issue...go figure). These results were verified on both PC and Mac. Is there any hope for an update soon? Or would you be waiting for the WP 3.6 to drop? Please advise.

How to hardcode an URL for the Facebook like button?

I want a different URL(rather than the page/post on which the floating bar is).
I made a change to dd-class.php at line 501 to hardcode my url.
But the plugin still takes the url of the post. How can I fix it?

page display

  1. Place in your "single.php", it will generate a normal digg button in your single post page.
  2. It's always recommended to rewrite above code with function_exists() checking : by using this method... i can able to display in post but i can't able to display in any of the page

Add Geeklist button

Geeklist would be a great button addition for tech or programming oriented sites. Instructions for creating a sharing button are at http://geekli.st/geekit-assets

I would add the button myself, but I'm unsure how to - there doesn't seem to be any docs or API functions to do so.

Twitter Count not showing

Twitter recently changed the share count structure in November 2015. Can anyone update this so twitter count shows up again?

PHP7 class constructors

All of the classes in dd-class.php use the old style constructor (name of class as function). Can these get updated to use __construct instead for future releases? Would hate to have to update that file manually each time there is a new version.
