grunt-ddescribe-iit's Introduction

grunt-ddescribe-iit Build Status

Grunt plugin for preventing you from accidentally comitting a ddescribe or iit into your project.

Getting Started

This plugin requires Grunt ^0.4.5

If you haven't used Grunt before, be sure to check out the Getting Started guide, as it explains how to create a Gruntfile as well as install and use Grunt plugins. Once you're familiar with that process, you may install this plugin with this command:

npm install grunt-ddescribe-iit --save-dev

Once the plugin has been installed, it may be enabled inside your Gruntfile with this line of JavaScript:

grunt.loadNpmTasks('grunt-ddescribe-iit');

ddescribe-iit task

Run this task with the grunt ddescribe-iit command.

Task targets, files and options may be specified according to the grunt Configuring tasks guide.

grunt-ddescribe-iit's Issues

task exits on the first match

If I have many ddescribe()s task exits on the first match. It might return all matches like other popular linters do. It would help detecting files to take care of.

Customizing disallowed keywords

Hi,

This is a great task :) Thanks for sharing.

In my project it is ok to exclude a test spec/suite temporarily for "offline" build failure analysis.
However it is not ok to push iit/ddescribe to run exclusively in CI.

Can you add a configuration option that enables listing the violations?

Thanks,
Eitan

fdescribe/fit

karma-jasmine >=0.3.4 now supports fdescribe/fit which are native Jasmine 2.x equivalents for ddescribe/iit. This task should catch them.

BTW, karma-jasmine 0.3.3 dropped ddescribe/iit as well... (karma-runner/karma-jasmine#73) Not sure if that's a long-term plan but if it is then maybe the task name should be changed. ;)
