The blue hero image at the top of the theme looks awesome. When I see the hero it looks like a gradient dark low to light high. If I remove texture.png, the gradient appears to reverse on me. Black magic! Where did you get texture.png and what is the idea behind this? Is this a common technique in web design?

Hi, i am trying to change the theme to allegiant , but i am getting broken elements as show below.

When I check build process, it gives 'unable to locate layout for "taxonomyTerm"' warning.

I've tried making a new website from the scratch following hugo -quickstart tutorial, but it gives blank page. I've been trying to resolve this , but couldn't find solution. Any idea why this is happening?

Apparently a scammer has registered the default base url genreated by hugo ("http://replace-this-with-your-hugo-site.com") and has some malware, ads, etc on it. See: gohugoio/hugoThemes#171.

Your theme doesn't use this base url but it still points to a website that is registered. To avoid such abuse in the future I would recommend to switch to a base url like "https://www.example.com/".

After generating, there' some problems because of bad behaviour of {{ .Site.BaseURL }}:

• Duplicated URL in path of CSS files in public/index.html:

  <link rel="stylesheet" href="EXAMPLE.COM/EXAMPLE.COM/css/style.css" />
  <link rel="stylesheet" href="EXAMPLE.COM/EXAMPLE.COM/css/font-awesome.min.css" />
  

• Extra slash (/) before URL in below line:

  url(/EXAMPLE.COM/img/texture.png)
  

• and may be there more
