A PBNI (PowerBuilder Native Interface) extension to allow PowerBuilder to send email via SMTP

Sample PowerBuilder code using the extension is available at https://github.com/bruce-armstrong/pbnismtp_sample

With the release of PowerBuilder 2022 R2 which has native SMTP support, this project has been archived.

Error if Attachment is a document on Google Drive

Google drive software is installed and Google drive (G:) is visible.
When document "G:\my drive\test.gdoc" is attached to e-mail, an error occurs within the "send" method.
Documents from other drives don't have this problem.

In "release build" I get "Error calling method of PBNI object"

Hi,

While testing I noticed that when I run the demo using the "Debug" build , the program runs, shows the debug messageboxes and sends email fine. When using the "release build" , when it tries to run the SetCharset method , I get "Error calling method of PBNI object".

I am using VStudio 2019 to build the project.
