starwarsintrocreator's Issues

Consider a different line-breaking algorithm and kerning the text

I'd like to use this great idea in a way that does not go anywhere near anyone's copyright. Find/compose a tune and use my own words. Be nice would be if the spacing algorithm was improved.

At the moment, on some lines, there are several spaces between each word, presumably because the space is distributed between the words to make the edge words line up. By using spaces at smaller font sizes and selective degrees of kerning, it might be possible to add an extra word to some lines.

Could go further and add an interactive, tetris-like facility to build the text from a set of words...

Customize Lucasfilm logo?

Can you try on figuring out how we can customize our own Lucasfilm logo before the words "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away"? That would be really cool!

Is this HTML and CSS page (not video) open source?

Hi,

I would like to use it for my school project, because my story is about Star Wars.

I tried two Star Wars templates in HTML and CSS, but in the first template, the logotype shakes and in the second template, the starting of "A long time ago" doesn't fulfil the black background.

I found only your template so smooth and relevant.

Doesn't work on iOS

Couldn't really tell you why, but playback never loads on Apple iPhone devices. Tried on safari, chrome, as well as another third party browser. BB-8 just loads forever. I tested it on both iOS 9 and iOS 6, same results.

copyright's

Hi,
I have one question, is the music copyrighted in this video?

Scroll does not appear on Edge

"Long time ago" and "STAR WARS" appear, but the actual crawl never comes into frame on Edge. If I resize the window when the crawl should be on screen, it appears and continues to work as normal.

Microsoft Edge 41.16299.15.0
Microsoft EdgeHTML 16.16299

Is there a way I can incorporate this into my portfolio

I've been looking for a way to add a StarWars crawl to my portfolio as an introduction of my skill set, and so on. Is there a way I can embed this, with my own wording, and a contact me box feature that pops up at the end, in my website?

Let users edit Star Wars logo

I'd like not to use "Star Wars" text but to write something else with the same font.
Is it possible to change the software to add this feature? :)

Title spacing and font size

In order to more closely match the originals, the title lines need two adjustments. First, the font size of the second title ("A NEW HOPE") should be larger than the main text. I tried looking for specific value but couldn't find any reference. (The size of the first title "Episode IV" seems to be smaller than the main text but that may be an illusion, so it's not an issue per se.)

Second, more spacing between the titles and the main text needs to be added. The space between the first title and the second title should increase by a small amount, while the space between the second title and the main text needs a more significant increase. As it is right now it has the same spacing as the main text lines have with each other, which makes the titles look quite off.
