In the description of the package you say that:

"In the same package in which you found this document, there should also be a Maps Info.xlsx Excel file listing the maps, their SVG names, and how their regions are identified."

But in the actual Github package there isn't an Excel file.

Can you provide it please?

First of all, thanks a lot for this great extension, it's very useful in a lot of usecases (and thanks for making it available on Qlik Sense !)

I think I have found an issue in the Qlikview version of this extension though : After playing around with the selections in my qlikview app, some parts of my map start to disappear. And i need to refresh the page in order to make them reappear.

When looking at the HTML code, those paths look like below. Note the url(#3) part:

Hi, I need help with sagmap on safari, i create my own svgmap and is working on chrome and iexplorer, but it don't work on safari, any one can help me, please.

The June 2nd reversion caused the hover box error to reappear, where after making a selection to zoom in on a region you can hover over unselected regions and still get a hover box for them. This error was not there in the Feb version of the script.js .

I'm using SVG World map in one reporting application which my predecessor made a couple of years ago. We have both Singapore (CountryID: SG) and Malaysia (CountryID: MY) there and some figures for both of them. Singapore is however not showing. I'm just wondering if it's is too small to show in world map or is it somehow missing?

We have an app which is "refreshing" every 10 seconds using another extension which just increments a Qlik variable at a regular interval
(modified version of QvTicker - https://github.com/thomasfriebel/QvTicker).
The effect is that objects are displayed conditionally based on the value of the variable giving the illusion of a slideshow presentation.

We noticed that after a full day some browsers were crashing. Investigating further we found that it is most likely due to memory usage. Isolating the problem we made a version of the map without any SVG objects and ran it concurrently with the app with the objects and no other charts. The result after 5 hours was that the app without any SVG maps was about 35MB (Chrome Task Manager measure) and was stable. The app with 4 SVG maps was 400MB and steadily increasing.

I love this extension. It is really well done and extremely useful. It would be nice if this issue could be addressed.

the Script.js file is recognized as binary file here (therefore you are not able to compare versions here on GitHub). I think it's because of the two characters at the beginning of the file ...

I have a tab with three different maps and would like to have Zoom and Pan controls displayed on all three. I have 'Zoom selected regions' and 'Show Controls' clicked on in the properties of all three maps. However, the controls only show in one of the maps. Also seem to need to unselect and reselect 'Ignore fill: none' to get the Zoom and Pan controls to appear, but again, only in one of the maps.

I'm not sure if anyone is/has experienced a similar issue, but if anyone has a solution to my issue please let me know!

Basically, the map renders fine until i make selections, which arent reflected by any changes on the map. To visualize the change in my selections, I have to come out and then back into webview. This seems to refresh the map.

Any ideas on how I can solve this issue?

In the december 2014 version (08.12.2014) an irritating hoverbox error occurs.
Whenever you make a selection which results in deactivated areas, the hoverbox on the deactivated areas still shows the values of the previous selection, which is quite confusing for the end-users.

hint:
When you press F5, the update corrects the issue.

another hint:
After the limiting selection, the resulting deactivated area is shown greyed.
After pressing F5 it is shown white.

regarding the versions:

• the github version 11 (see definition.xml) is not the same as the one on the QlikMarket (definition.xml has no version there). They are not compatible with eachother. My project was build with the github version and does not work when installing the QlikMarket version.

We think this is a great Extension but it seems to have stopped working in Qlikview November 2018 release - Are there plans to upgrade/fix this or have you moved on from this?

Which is the max svg file size that the extension accepts? I tried several svg files of a size around 3MB and I could not visualize them. The largest one that I could visualize was the us_counties that comes by deffect.

My problem is when I change the tab that has the extension to another one and when I return the extension it is blank "the map is not redrawn", only updating the page "F5" the map reappears.

I use Qlikview 12.10.0.0 64bit and Qlikview 11.20.13507.0 SR16 64bit
Google Chrome V. 63.0.3239.132 (Official) 64-bit

Hi Brian, thank you very much for sharing your extension!
It works very well but I have a problem with the color formatting. I want to display different countries with their sales revenue so I tried different things like if color clausal or only one color and so on. The problem is I have one country with a very big revenue (e.g. 100 mio) a few with middle revenue (e.g. 1 mio) and a handful of countries with less than e.g. 100k revenue. The biggest country is green, the middle countries are dark green and the smallest countries are light green. Do you have a solution for that problem?
