"Stay in Touch" is a clone of you favorite social media app

This project is an attempt to implement the main features of a real social media website. It's main features include:

• Access control (sign in/sign out)
• Listing of all users and posts
• Posts 'likes' and 'comments'
• Friendship invitation/acceptance

• Ruby v2.7.0
• Ruby on Rails v5.2.4
• Devise
• PostgreSQL

To get a local copy up and running follow these steps:

Ruby: 2.6.3 Rails: 5.2.3 Postgres: >=9.5

• Clone or download the project to your local machine

• Change to the project's root directory

cd private-events

• Install the required gems

bundle install

• Setup the database

rails db:create
rails db:migrate

• Start the server

rails server

• Access the application's web interface on your browser
