I've had this happen with a Google Home Hub and Lenovo SmartDisplay but not a ChromeCast audio or Google Home speaker. It only seems to happen on devices with displays.

When I play media to either devices independent of HA or C4 (for example Spotify Cast or asking Google to play something), the device/room cycles between on and off in C4 which causes weird behavior on the device (it keeps trying to play the media, but never plays). HA shows this as going between paused, idle and off. Please let me know if you need any logs or other troubleshooting.

Can you please post the updated release? The current release does not show any output connections.

Additionally is it possible to add mini-driver support to this driver? It would be great to be used for Apple TV's as HA allows you to launch the wanted app directly from HA, However the current C4 apple tv driver does not allow for mini-drivers to be connected.
