puppet-carbon's Issues

module does not work as expected in puppet 3.8.7 and future parser enabled

Hello,

I have downloaded the module from the forge and was going to use it. I read that you have to have parser = future enabled. I have enabled this on the puppet master and on the puppet agents. When calling the module with default options include ::carbon

When this is done, I get the following error on the agent node.

Error: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Error 400 on SERVER: Syntax error at 'Hash'; expected ')' at /etc/puppet/environments/development/modules/carbon/manifests/init.pp:3 on node
Warning: Not using cache on failed catalog
Error: Could not retrieve catalog; skipping run

Have I done something wrong? Some assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you

UDP configuration for relay template?

Hi,

First of all, thank you for your puppet modules. I am using carbon, memcached and graphite and they have been very easy to set up and have it working.

I had a manual installation based and had udp parameters for relay. I am sending data from a ganglia instance (we are migrating little by little) and I needed to have UDP configuration parameters in the relay section like this:

[relay]
ENABLE_UDP_LISTENER = True
UDP_RECEIVER_INTERFACE = 0.0.0.0
UDP_RECEIVER_PORT = 2013

But the templates doesn't have the option and there is no custom fragment possibility (I think).
Do you plan to add this to the templates? Or do you recommend me to modify your module in our local installation?

Thank you!
