handlefinder's Issues

are you using Sherlock?

interesting and it works

can you state what is the relation with Sherlock ? are you using that code?

Some sites match every single handle

No matter what is typed, these sites will match: Enjin, Fiverr, HackerNews, Quizlet, Smule.

Attempted with a couple of my actual handles (not sharing those), along with some handles I thought I made up, such as "crinklefoot" and "jinglejanglejones".

Also, the last handle - jinglejanglejones - doesn't show up on Fiverr, presumably because that's too many characters for a user's handle.

You should credit who you've taken from.

Your backend is essentially just Sherlock, you've only made what is technically a "wrapper" thus you owe credit to the Sherlock Project which isn't mentioned anywhere.

Also your code doesn't even have a License anywhere, so technically it isn't even "Open Source". If you wish to keep your code closed-source โ€“ which is everything on GitHub granted it doesn't have an explicit License โ€“ you will need to at the bare minimum include the License to Sherlock.

Please read this article to clear things up: here.
