agendas's Issues

Consider polling the group about cryptocurrency usage

A rough sketch

crypto-landscape

Goal

To understand how people use different crypto mediums on different time scales

Prompts

  • User can place multiple dots on the map if the user uses multiple mediums
  • What other timeframes exists? Does the scale need to change?
  • What other mediums exist? Does the scale need to change? Perhaps examples could be enumerated below the generic mediums (eg: Coinbase could be listed under custodial, BlackRock for ETF, Trezor for hardware)

What are the minimal technical considerations a public agency needs, to implement a blockchain proof of concept or pilot project?

Goal

Create a checklist of capabilities with corresponding technical features (that can be implemented TODAY) that a public agency would need to have in place.

Technical prerequisites

  • wallet software for public staff
    • manages keys
    • manages identity
  • some blockchain somewhere (not necessarily run inside or by the public agency) (if the desire is to run the chain, that can be a separate project from the pilot)
  • some method or service to retrieve specific types of data from a chain

Organizational and user considerations

  • an ATO (or a path to it)
  • some set of external users to put information into the system
  • some set of external users that will consume information from the system

Existing guidance

Consider meeting minutes

  • somebody volunteers to take notes
    • includes video recording (if permission)
  • publish the minutes to /minutes/XXXX-MM-DD.md or /minutes/README.md#XXXX-MM-DD
  • link the video and minutes to the agenda

Acceptance criteria

  • somebody is assigned each week to take minutes
  • minutes are published to this repo (same day) after a meeting occurs

Demonstrate how DID can be used by at least 2 agencies

Triple-entry accounting

[Triple entry accounting expands on] double entry bookkeeping by expanding the use of accounting from inside firms to activity between the firms

To fully benefit from triple entry bookkeeping, we have to expand accounting systems out to agents and offer them direct capabilities to do transactions. One method by which we can make agents into stakeholders is by giving them internal money

The Receipt Is the Transaction

Incorporate presentation guidelines in this repo

DRAFT

Format for presenters:

  • Presenter Name(s)
  • Title(s)
  • Brief Description of Solution
  • Define your blockchain effort (e.g., consortium, platform, product)
  • What use case(s) are you solving?
  • What is the business value you are proposing? (e.g., reducing costs, improving healthcare outcomes, engagement, experiences)
  • What’s the status of your pilot/prototype/effort?
  • In your presentation, will you be able to speak to the stakeholder make-up of your effort?
  • In your presentation, will you be able to highlight Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) you are measuring to assess value and success of pilot/prototype/effort?
  • Will you be able to discuss future plans (publishing plans, collaboration opportunities, etc.)?
