Welcome to my CodeX Marketing Data Analysis Project Portfolio! In this project, I have undertaken the task of providing valuable insights to the marketing team at CodeX, a German beverage company, in order to enhance their presence in the Indian market. The primary goal of this project is to leverage survey data from 10 cities in India to drive actionable decisions and strategies.
Project Overview
This Project is part of a challenge organized by Codebasics.io wherein CodeX a fictional company recently launched their energy drink in 10 cities across India and wishes to increase brand awareness, market share, and product development. To achieve these objectives, the marketing team conducted a comprehensive survey, collecting responses from 10,000 individuals in the target cities. As a marketing data analyst, my responsibility was to analyze this survey data and extract meaningful insights that would aid the team in making informed decisions.

Market Positioning and Brand Strategy
- With a 10% market share, Codex Energy Drink faces stiff competition from the top market leaders, Coca-Cola and Pepsi, who command 25% and 21% of the market share, respectively. To strengthen our market presence and appeal to consumers, we must focus on branding and market positioning.
- Sports/exercise activities are the typical consumption situations for our energy drinks. Targeting fitness enthusiasts and sponsoring sports events can reinforce our brand's association with an active lifestyle.
- Consumer behaviour indicates a growing shift towards healthier choices. To capitalize on this trend, we should seize the opportunity to position ourselves as a healthy brand. Reducing the sugar content in our energy drinks aligns with consumer preferences for healthier options and can boost our brand's appeal And highlighting the presence of caffeine and vitamins in our energy drinks can resonate with consumers looking for energy-boosting and nutritional benefits.
Brand Perception
- Based on consumer feedback, our brand is rated at 3.3 out of 5. While this is a positive indicator, we should continuously seek to improve brand perception through product quality, customer service, and innovative marketing approaches.
- Online ads have been identified as the most effective way to reach our target audience. Allocating a significant portion of our marketing budget to online ads will enable us to engage with potential customers, increase brand exposure, and drive sales.
Conclusion By leveraging these marketing insights and implementing strategic recommendations, Codex Energy Drink can enhance its brand image, expand market share from 10%, and successfully position itself as a preferred choice for health-conscious consumers seeking an energy-boosting and refreshing beverage.
