First I want to tell congrats you for the effort and good job behind Kala project.

I just want to know how can somebody contribute in the project and is there a clear roadmap for next features ?

It would be nice to mention the requirement of environment variables on the readme, as it is required to run any command (syncdb, server, shell..) and otherwise one has to debug trying to run it several times, each time being asked for a new missing variable, until all of them are set.

What steps would I need to take to deploy this app as a standalone website in Spanish on AWS?

Is there a simple way to translate it into Spanish?

Kala can import projects and files from an existing Basecamp installation. so i made logo that can represent moving.

Under Main Features you have MIt instead of MIT

Following the steps from the readme, it fails on the syncdb after creating the admin user (which I have to, in order to have a user to login).

The error when creating the user is this:
