Do you have ideas how we can fix this and prevent such problems in the future?

What if I will use name attribute instead of ngModel for form element identification? Then we can use the following code to make it actually work:

<form name="users-form">

    <fieldset ng-repeat="user in users">
        <input name="fullname~{{ $index }}" ng-model="user.fullName">
    </fieldset>

</form>

Each field will be identified like this:

• fullname~0
• fullname~1
• etc.
